Lavanya Subbarayan is the Head of Market Access & Payer Engagement at PRIA, where she leads development and execution of payer strategy, value demonstration and commercialization support for MedTech and Life Sciences clients. She partners with innovators to define payer‑relevant value, shape evidence strategies, and build pathways that accelerate coverage, reimbursement, and adoption across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid markets. 
Lavanya brings a multidisciplinary background spanning law, healthcare operations, and payer strategy.

Lavanya’s life before joining the People of PRIA Healthcare:

Before joining PRIA, she held leadership roles at Carelon, a subsidiary of Elevance Health, where she supported the commercialization and delivery of utilization management, behavioral health, DMEPOS, and digital health offerings for Anthem Commercial health plans. Prior to Carelon, she supported Elevance Health’s Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid businesses in developing clinical strategic partnerships and advancing specialty benefit vendor and ancillary provider contracting.

Her career began as an internationally trained commercial law attorney, where she advised venture‑backed startups on investment law, governance, and commercial contracting, giving her a unique, cross‑functional perspective on innovation, strategy, and risk.

Lavanya’s life outside of PRIA Healthcare:

Outside of work, Lavanya enjoys spending time with her family -- cooking, exploring new restaurants, and being outdoors on long hikes.

Lavanya holds a Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Arts and Laws (dual degree) from India.
